Role Overview

Le Méridien Hotels & Resorts is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Helper to join our team in Medina, Almadinah Almunawwarah. This full-time position is ideal for individuals with 0-1 year of experience who are committed to maintaining the highest standards of facility operation and guest satisfaction. The role involves performing essential maintenance tasks to ensure the smooth functioning of hotel operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform minor plumbing repairs, including unclogging drains, plunging toilets, and repairing leaky spigots and faucets.
• Execute miscellaneous minor repairs such as tightening loose toilet seats, changing light bulbs, and patching holes in walls.
• Conduct preventative maintenance on tools and equipment, which includes cleaning and lubrication.
• Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards across all tasks.
• Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.

Operational Compliance and Guest Interaction

• Follow all company, safety, and security policies and procedures; report maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries; and complete required safety training and certifications.
• Maintain a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance, uphold the confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets.
• Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipate and address guests’ service needs, and assist individuals with disabilities.
• Communicate with others using clear and professional language.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees.

Physical Demands of the Role

• Ability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• Capable of visually inspecting tools, equipment, or machines to identify issues.
• Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Assist with moving, lifting, carrying, and placing objects weighing in excess of 100 pounds (*, A/C units, televisions, dressers).
• Navigate up and down stairs, service ramps, and/or ladders as required.
• Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight effectively.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Education: High school diploma or *** equivalent.
• Related Work Experience: No specific related work experience is required, making this an entry-level opportunity.
• Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience is necessary for this role.
• License or Certification: None required.
