About the IT Manager Role

Sheraton Hotels & Resorts is seeking an IT Manager to provide essential technology support for properties in Al-Madinah Al-Munawarah, specifically in Medina. This full-time position requires a professional with 2-5 years of experience in Information Technology or a related field, contributing general knowledge and skills to support property-based systems.

Role Overview and Responsibilities

The IT Manager will be responsible for performing repairs, installations, and maintenance for property-based systems, offering first and some second-level support. This role involves working within established guidelines to complete routine tasks, utilizing knowledge of sophisticated technology equipment and processes. Key duties include managing technology needs within budget targets, ensuring compliance with Marriott International Policies and Information Security Manuals, and placing equipment orders. The role also encompasses conducting inventories, securing technology assets, and complying with vendor contracts.

Customer and Client Technology Support

Building and sustaining relationships with customers is a core aspect of this position. The IT Manager will write and present proposals and analyses, provide customer service to associates, and respond to inquiries from customers, vendors, and peers. Verifying that client technology needs are met involves assisting in disaster recovery and business continuity planning, providing technical guidance, and escalating support for approved technology solutions. This includes supporting guest and associate internet access requirements and ensuring technology security and compliance measures are in place.

Technical Operations and Maintenance

The role requires hands-on technical operations, including imaging desktops, installing new software applications, applying patches, and mapping network drives. Tasks also involve moving, adding, and changing PCs and peripherals, migrating data as needed, and performing routine desktop backups. Support for unit infrastructure, such as servers, switches, routers, and access points, is essential, requiring engagement with appropriate IT and vendor resources. The IT Manager will also assist in creating and maintaining secure server environments, performing server backups, and conducting routine preventative maintenance.

Qualifications and Experience

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess a high school diploma or GED along with 2-4 years of experience in Information Technology or a related professional area. Alternatively, a 2-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related major, coupled with 2 years of relevant experience, is acceptable. System-related professional certifications are desired.
