Operations Manager: Role Overview

Havelock One Interiors is seeking a dedicated and experienced Operations Manager to join our team in Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is central to leading operational activities, ensuring the successful acquisition and delivery of building contracts to the highest standards of quality, within budget, and on schedule, while consistently maximizing client satisfaction.

Strategic Objectives and Operational Leadership

The Operations Manager will play a critical role in overseeing all aspects of project execution. This includes working closely with Project Managers and commercial teams to conduct monthly Cost/Value reconciliations. A key focus will be on ensuring all contractual obligations are met, services are delivered efficiently, and potential risks are proactively identified and managed throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead contract review, negotiations, and comprehensive project execution planning.
• Define project objectives and plans, including scope delineation, budgeting, scheduling, performance requirements, and subcontractor selection.
• Compile procurement schedules and coordinate with Project Managers and commercial teams on site supply and specialist requirements, specifying deadlines.
• Develop and implement project strategy and programs, interrogating progress reports and initiating corrective actions as needed.
• Represent the company at site meetings and ensure accurate records are maintained throughout project construction.
• Monitor site practices and routines to ensure full compliance with company procedures and relevant health, safety, and environmental management standards.
• Oversee project handover, ensuring defect/snag-free completion and implementing a robust strategy for defect closure and certification.
• Develop and manage strong relationships with clients and the supply chain.
• Monitor construction sites, manage vendors and trades, and maximize resource efficiency (labour, materials, equipment).

Candidate Profile and Experience

• A minimum of 15 years of experience in the same field.
• A proven track record of successfully delivering multiple projects that exceed client expectations.
• Demonstrated experience in controlling costs, timing, and quality in line with established targets.
• Ability to effectively resolve technical, operational, and contractual issues on site.
• Proven experience in managing teams, supply chains, direct employees, and consultants.

Essential Skills and Market Knowledge

• Good knowledge of the Fit-Out market.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work successfully and collaboratively within a multinational market environment.

The Operations Manager will be responsible for leading and motivating the delivery team, ensuring its balance and structure align with workload profiles. The role also involves sharing best practices and driving continuous improvement across operations, alongside developing project management and installation capabilities in various regions of the Kingdom.
