About the Role

Fengkai Group Co., Limited is seeking a part-time PHD Peer Reviewer for Biology to join their team in Saudi Arabia. This is a long-term, stable position that supports remote work, offering an opportunity to contribute to the academic publishing process.

Role Overview

The primary function of this role is to provide expert peer review for academic manuscripts submitted to journals. This involves a thorough evaluation of scientific content, methodology, and presentation to ensure the quality and integrity of published research. The reviewer will play a critical part in the editorial decision-making process by offering constructive feedback and recommendations.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate the originality and novelty of submitted manuscripts, assessing their contribution to the field of study.
• Critically assess the study design, methodology, and clarity of description to ensure appropriateness and reproducibility.
• Verify that the manuscript adequately incorporates and cites relevant and current literature.
• Analyze the presentation of results and conclusions, ensuring they are clearly supported by the data and are significant to the discipline.
• Provide clear, concise, and constructive feedback to authors and editors, highlighting strengths, weaknesses, and potential ethical concerns.
• Make a recommendation regarding the publication status of the manuscript (*, accept, revise, reject).

Qualifications and Experience

• A Doctorate (PhD) or equivalent advanced degree in a relevant biological science field.
• A publication record of at least 5 papers in SCI/SSCI indexed journals within the last three years.
• Demonstrated understanding of research methodologies and ethical principles in the relevant discipline.
• 5-10 years of relevant experience is required.
