About the Role

Fengkai Group Co., Limited is seeking a part-time Peer Reviewer for Soil Science to support its operations in Saudi Arabia. This is a long-term, remote position requiring a high level of expertise and commitment to academic integrity.

Role Overview

The Peer Reviewer will be responsible for critically evaluating scientific manuscripts submitted for publication. This role involves a thorough assessment of research quality, originality, and adherence to scientific and ethical standards within the field of Soil Science. The objective is to provide constructive feedback to authors and assist journal editors in making informed publication decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate the originality and novelty of submitted manuscripts, assessing their contribution to the field of Soil Science.
• Critically assess the study design, methodology, and clarity of presentation to ensure reproducibility and scientific rigor.
• Verify that the manuscript adequately incorporates and cites relevant and current literature.
• Analyze the presentation of results and the validity of conclusions drawn from the data.
• Provide clear, concise, and constructive feedback to authors, highlighting strengths, weaknesses, and potential areas for improvement.
• Identify and report any ethical concerns or potential misconduct.
• Make recommendations regarding the publication status of the manuscript to the journal editor.

Required Qualifications

• A Doctorate (PhD) or equivalent advanced degree in Soil Science or a closely related discipline.
• A minimum of 5-10 years of relevant experience.
• A record of publishing at least 5 papers in SCI/SSCI indexed journals within the past three years.
• A comprehensive understanding of research methodologies and ethical principles in Soil Science.
• Excellent analytical and critical thinking abilities.
• Strong written communication skills, capable of delivering precise and actionable feedback.
• Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively and adhere to deadlines.
• A commitment to maintaining objectivity and confidentiality.
• Prior experience as a peer reviewer for academic journals is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with online manuscript submission and review systems is advantageous.

Work Arrangement

This is a part-time, remote position, offering flexibility in terms of work location. The role is structured as a long-term engagement.
