Registered Nurse

About the Role

Dr. Sulaiman Al Habib (HMG) is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide safe and effective nursing care to pre- and post-operative patients. This permanent position requires the application of professional knowledge and skills in accordance with HMG policies and procedures, ensuring patients receive timely multidisciplinary care.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive assigned patients as per daily assignments.
• Apply the Nursing Care process to assigned patients according to approved policy.
• Develop individualized Nursing Care plans, collaborating with other team members.
• Monitor patient status and report any deviations or abnormal findings to the team leader and doctor on duty within specified timeframes.
• Execute doctor’s orders accurately and promptly.
• Provide individualized patient and family education based on their needs.
• Document patient assessment findings, physical responses to nursing interventions, and progress.
• Initiate emergency and resuscitative measures as required.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
• Maintain required mandatory unit-specific competencies as per the approved competency matrix.
• Demonstrate flexibility to meet work needs, including pull-out and floating assignments.
• Adhere to JCIA/CBAHI standards and HMG policies.
• Provide clinical supervision and support when assigned as shift in charge (team leader), including conducting rounds, reporting unusual incidents to nursing supervision, attending doctor’s rounds, and participating in patient status presentations and endorsements.
• Attend departmental education/training activities and meetings.
• Perform nursing procedures as required within the unit.
• Participate in person-centered care initiatives.
• Enrich patient experience with compassion, respect, and dignity.
• Perform other applicable tasks and duties assigned by the charge nurse/head nurse within the scope of their knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Experience and Qualifications

Candidates for this role should possess 0-1 year of experience in a relevant nursing capacity. A strong understanding of nursing care processes and patient safety protocols is essential.

The Registered Nurse is expected to uphold the highest standards of professional conduct and clinical practice, ensuring compliance with all HMG policies and relevant regulatory guidelines such as JCIA/CBAHI standards.
