Alkhorayef Water & Power Technologies (AWPT) is seeking an experienced Scada Engineer to join its team in Al Madinah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is critical for the development, configuration, maintenance, and optimization of SCADA systems supporting water and wastewater networks and facilities.

Role Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing SCADA applications, primarily using AVEVA/Wonderware System Platform. This involves integrating industrial automation systems, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring reliable, secure, and efficient system performance across various operational environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, configure, and maintain SCADA applications using AVEVA/Wonderware System Platform.
• Design and enhance Human Machine Interface (HMI) screens for monitoring and control operations.
• Integrate SCADA systems with PLC controllers, industrial communication networks, and field devices.
• Configure, maintain, and optimize Historian, Information Server, and related database systems.
• Monitor system performance, identify technical issues, and implement corrective actions to ensure uninterrupted operations.
• Perform testing, commissioning, and validation of new SCADA applications and system upgrades.
• Maintain system backups, documentation, and version control of SCADA applications.
• Provide technical support and guidance to operations and maintenance teams.
• Ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards, safety regulations, and industry best practices.
• Prepare technical reports and recommend system improvements to enhance operational efficiency and reliability.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Automation, Instrumentation, or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in SCADA system programming, configuration, and support.
• Certified in AVEVA (Wonderware) System Platform.

Essential Skills

• Strong knowledge of Historian, Information Server, and industrial database management.
• Hands-on experience integrating SCADA systems with PLCs and industrial communication protocols.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in water and wastewater utilities or infrastructure projects.
• Familiarity with industrial cybersecurity best practices.
• Knowledge of SQL databases and reporting tools.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple technical priorities.
