This full-time role for a Senior Specialist, Exploration Licensing contributes to Ma'aden's strategic objectives.

Role Purpose

The Senior Specialist, Exploration Licensing will lead and manage the strategic and operational aspects of exploration licensing and tenement management. This position ensures full compliance with regulatory frameworks and alignment with corporate exploration objectives. The Senior Specialist also acts as a primary advisor on licensing matters, drives process improvements, and fosters relationships with regulatory authorities and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the end-to-end process for exploration license applications, renewals, and compliance reporting.
• Ensure adherence to national and regional mining laws, environmental regulations, and internal governance standards.
• Maintain and update tenement databases, tracking obligations, expiry dates, and reporting requirements.
• Collaborate with exploration, legal, and environmental teams to align licensing activities with operational plans.
• Serve as the primary point of contact with government agencies and regulatory bodies regarding licensing.
• Lead internal audits and support external inspections related to tenement compliance.
• Develop and implement process improvements and digital solutions for licensing workflows.
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to knowledge sharing across the licensing function.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this role should possess 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in exploration licensing, tenement management, or a related field within the mining industry.
