Spa Therapist

About the Role

The Luxury Collection is seeking a Spa Therapist to provide massage services and body treatments to guests. This full-time role involves assessing guest needs, ensuring safety, and maintaining a professional environment. The ideal candidate will have 0-1 years of experience in a similar capacity.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide massage services and body treatments, utilizing appropriate products and techniques.
• Assess guest needs and inquire about contraindications (*, allergies, high blood pressure, pregnancy) prior to service.
• Escort guests to and from treatment rooms and ensure their comfort, safety, and security throughout the service.
• Arrange and maintain the cleanliness of workstations, treatment rooms, and drapes.
• Promote and sell spa/salon services, including retail offerings related to the Spa.
• Clean, maintain, and sterilize tools, and dispose of trash and dirty linens.
• Monitor and adhere to the daily time schedule and secure supplies and equipment at the end of each shift.
• Handle inappropriate guest behavior in accordance with Marriott International standard operating procedures, which may include stopping a treatment and informing a supervisor.
• Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipate their service needs, and thank them with genuine appreciation.
• Speak with others using clear and professional language, and develop positive working relationships.

Professional Conduct and Compliance

• Stay updated with current techniques and modalities related to the field of work.
• Maintain current skills and licensure in the service area as per regional requirements.
• Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to the manager.
• Complete all required safety training and certifications.
• Follow all company policies and procedures, ensuring a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance.
• Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.
• Capability to grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance.

Qualifications and Experience

• 0-1 years of experience in a spa therapist role.
• Ability to perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
