Storekeeper

About the Role

Le Méridien Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Storekeeper to join their team in Medina, Al Madinah. This full-time role involves managing merchandise flow, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring compliance with operational standards. The position requires 0-1 years of experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive and organize merchandise by department, accurately indicating its location within the facilities.
• Deliver merchandise to the appropriate departments and stack received items on pallets or carts.
• Complete request forms for stock and provisions.
• Notify management promptly of low stock levels.
• Receive deliveries, store perishable products correctly, and rotate stock to ensure freshness.
• Inspect deliveries and verify dates to ensure freshness, cleanliness, soundness, and quality of all items.
• Reject damaged, unacceptable, or incorrect items upon delivery.
• Adhere to food safety guidelines and handling policies and procedures for all food-related areas.
• Organize, clean, and sanitize all refrigerators, freezers, floors, food equipment, and drains.
• Remove empty pallets, cartons, and waste, placing them in designated storage areas.
• Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe working conditions to the manager.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures, ensuring a neat and professional appearance.
• Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
• Communicate professionally with guests and colleagues.
• Cultivate positive working relationships and support team goals.
• Adhere to quality assurance expectations and standards.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stretch, bend, twist, crawl, and stoop.
• Capability to grasp, turn, and manipulate objects.
• Ability to climb stairs and/or service ramps.
• Capacity to move, lift, or carry objects weighing 50 pounds or less.
• Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.

Qualifications and Experience

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent General Educational Development (GED) certificate.
• Related Work Experience: No related work experience is required.
• Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience is required.
• License or Certification: None specified.

Additional Duties

The Storekeeper will also perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors, including conducting training and obtaining safety certifications.
