About the Role

Johns Hopkins Aramco Healthcare (JHAH) is seeking a Cardiac Care Nurse 3 to deliver advanced-level nursing care within an assigned unit in Al-Ahsa. This full-time position requires 2-5 years of experience and involves supporting operational processes, maintaining high standards of patient care, and assisting in the resolution of complex clinical issues. The role also includes mentoring intermediate-level nurses and collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure efficient care delivery.

Key Responsibilities

The Cardiac Care Nurse 3 is responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care, contributing to strategic initiatives, and ensuring operational excellence within the cardiac care unit. This includes active participation in developing and implementing clinical protocols, managing complex patient cases, and fostering a culture of professional practice and patient safety.

Strategic Contributions

  • Contribute to strategic initiatives aimed at improving nursing practices within the assigned unit.
  • Participate in the development of protocols and processes to enhance patient safety and operational efficiency.
  • Pursue high staff engagement and obtain high patient experience.
  • Achieve and sustain a high quality of care and patient safety.
  • Support the empowerment of nurses through the enculturation of the JHAH nursing Professional Practice Model.

Operational Duties

  • Deliver high-quality nursing care services, focusing on complex cases.
  • Assist in managing workflow, ensuring proper resource utilization, and providing mentorship to junior nurses.
  • Ensure adherence to clinical protocols and participate in the evaluation of patient outcomes.
  • Achieve and/or maintain the mandated set of activities for level 3 (minimum 20 points in at least four categories within each 12-month cycle, as outlined in the Clinical Advancement Program).
  • Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document patient care from admission through discharge, specific to the patient's age.
  • Provide nursing care and patient/family education consistent with the plan of care and needs of the patients, with respect for privacy, dignity, personal preference, and culture, demonstrating acceptance, caring, and empathy, utilizing appropriate resources when applicable.
  • Precept new hires and trainees during the probation training period and participate in making recommendations regarding progress and training needs.
  • Respond promptly and effectively to emergency and life-saving situations by utilizing clinical skills, critical thinking, and evidence-based practices to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Perform a wide range of nursing procedures with attention to accuracy, patient safety, and comfort, while maintaining a safe, clean, and organized environment for the patient, family, visitors, and staff.
  • Administer Chemotherapy and Biotherapy medications following the completion of chemotherapy competency and requirements.
  • Utilize standard guidelines and policy to assess, develop, and implement nursing care plans and evaluate outcomes for Palliative Care and Cellular Therapy patients.

Required Qualifications and Certifications

  • Current licensure as a professional registered nurse.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
  • A minimum of 2-5 years of experience in a relevant nursing field.
