About the Role

Maaden is seeking a Specialist FM QHSE III to join its team in Al Qasim. This full-time position is central to ensuring the effective implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) requirements across all Facility Management operations. The role is critical in strengthening safe, compliant, and reliable service delivery across a wide range of services and facilities.

Role Purpose and Impact

The Specialist FM QHSE III is responsible for enhancing overall QHSE performance within Facility Management. This involves conducting regular inspections, audits, hazard identification, and risk assessments. The role also includes leading incident investigations, delivering awareness programs, preparing comprehensive reports, and ensuring the closure of corrective actions, all in alignment with company policies, regulations, contractual obligations, and integrated management system standards.

Core QHSE Delivery and Oversight

  • Implement QHSE requirements across all Facility Management activities and contractor-controlled work areas.
  • Monitor various services including cleaning, catering, pest control, landscaping, waste management, and maintenance support.
  • Conduct site inspections, behavioral observations, hygiene checks, and facility walkthroughs to identify QHSE gaps and non-compliance.
  • Strengthen operational safety through detailed risk assessments, job safety analyses, and method statement reviews.
  • Review permit-to-work controls to confirm hazards and necessary controls are in place before work commences.

Contractor Compliance and Incident Management

  • Monitor contractor compliance with QHSE obligations, including PPE use, equipment condition, and manpower discipline.
  • Track standards related to housekeeping, waste segregation, chemical handling, food safety, and accommodation.
  • Participate in investigations of incidents, near-misses, property damage, service failures, and customer complaints.
  • Identify root causes and recommend effective corrective and preventive actions, ensuring their timely closure.
  • Support internal and external audits across quality, safety, environment, and contractor performance, tracking findings and driving closure.

Reporting, Awareness, and Emergency Preparedness

  • Maintain comprehensive QHSE records, inspection reports, audit findings, action trackers, and training attendance logs.
  • Prepare incident statistics, performance dashboards, and detailed Facility Management QHSE reports.
  • Analyze QHSE and service performance data to identify trends and opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Deliver QHSE inductions, toolbox talks, and awareness sessions for both employees and contractors.
  • Coordinate emergency preparedness activities across Facility Management areas, maintaining readiness for evacuations, spill response, and first aid.
  • Promote proactive QHSE ownership, hazard reporting, and the integration of lessons learned to foster a culture of high-quality service delivery.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this role should possess a strong background in QHSE within a facility management context. A minimum of 5 to 10 years of relevant experience is required, demonstrating a proven ability to implement and manage comprehensive QHSE programs effectively.
