Commissioning Loop Checks Coordinator

About the Role

Met T&S is seeking a Commissioning Loop Checks Coordinator for a contract position in Al Jubayl, Saudi Arabia. This role is responsible for executing activities related to functional loop checks and interlock/sequence functionality checks, ensuring adherence to quality requirements, health, environmental, and safety regulations, and established procedures. The Coordinator reports to the Commissioning Control System Superintendent and is assigned to the project by the AVIMP Head of Department.

Key Responsibilities

• Cooperate with subcontractors, supervise, and verify the timely preparation of loop folders before activity commencement.
• Oversee all Functional Loop Check (FLC) operations to ensure proper documentation flow and timely execution.
• Record daily FLC progress and ensure its availability to management, QA/QC, planners, and other relevant parties.
• Implement necessary actions involving management in cases of deviation between actual and scheduled progress.
• Plan daily activities based on the "loops ready to test" list, manpower availability, and priorities provided by commissioning management.
• Manage the repair or recalibration of instruments with support from the troubleshooting team.
• Record and transmit major problems requiring construction subcontractor involvement (*, cable pulling, instrument relocation) to the construction team.
• Prepare forms for all tests and ensure submission of certificates, duly signed by involved parties, for final handover to the certification engineer (QA/QC).
• Coordinate actions with the electrical commissioning supervisor during activity performance.
• Record all modifications made during FLC in the master drawings for as-built documentation.
• Sign documents (narratives and forms) and follow up for PMC/client signatures.

Qualifications and Experience

• University Degree or Diploma in Engineering or an equivalent field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in HSE in commissioning projects/operations within the oil & gas or petrochemical industries.
• Relevant experience in at least 3 major EPC projects in the oil & gas or petrochemical sector.
