H S Safety Technician

About the Role

Total Safety EMEA is seeking a H S Safety Technician for a contract position based in Jubail, Eastern, Saudi Arabia. This role is focused on maintaining a safe environment within oil and gas sites, specifically addressing hazards related to Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S).

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe environment at oil and gas sites, primarily against H2S exposure.
• Advise on safer practices concerning H2S and general site safety.
• Install, inspect, repair, and test Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCPAs), Cascade Systems, Gas Monitoring Systems, and other monitoring devices.
• Conduct detailed visual inspections and functional tests of various systems and equipment to identify deficiencies, recommend corrective actions, and provide customer recommendations.
• Perform receipt, inspection, cleaning, servicing, reassembly, and testing of SCBA and other respiratory and breathing air equipment in accordance with approved procedures.
• Ensure proper use of all site-specific, facility, and customer-required Personal Protection Equipment (PPE).
• Execute any other tasks or duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Line Manager.

Qualifications and Experience

• 0-1 years of experience is required for this position.

Required Skills and Attributes

• Must be a self-directed individual capable of working with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work in remote areas for extended periods without issue.

Work Location

This position is based in Al Jubail, Saudi Arabia, and may involve working in remote locations.
