About the Plant Operator Role

Hoyer Group is seeking a Plant Operator to join our team at the HOYER Middle East office in Al Jubayl, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is central to our operational activities, encompassing tank farm management, loading and unloading processes for tankers and trucks, filling operations, and various warehouse tasks.

Core Responsibilities

The Plant Operator is responsible for ensuring all activities are conducted in strict adherence to established protocols and safety standards. Key responsibilities include:

  • Following all work instructions and regulations precisely.
  • Adhering to plant safety standards and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements.
  • Working prudently and in accordance with operational demands.
  • Making informed decisions and taking necessary measures within the defined area of responsibility.
  • Taking accountability for all decisions made during operations.

Operational Duties

Daily operational duties for this role involve a range of tasks critical to maintaining efficient plant and warehouse functions:

  • Handling of packaging material.
  • Assisting in the loading and offloading of palletized and non-palletized chemical drums and other materials from containers and trucks using forklifts.
  • Performing drum off-loading from the drum-filling conveyor and stacking them on pallets in warehouses.
  • Conducting daily checks of the forklift truck and reporting any damages immediately.
  • Carrying out housekeeping duties for machinery and surrounding work areas.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for the Plant Operator position must meet the following educational and professional experience requirements:

  • Possession of a High School, ITI (NCVT), or Diploma certificate.
  • A forklift license is mandatory for this role.
  • 4-6 years of experience in a similar job environment, particularly in chemical handling.

Required Skills and Knowledge

The ideal candidate will demonstrate specific skills and knowledge essential for safe and effective plant operations:

  • Basic material knowledge and a sound understanding of heavy equipment, especially forklifts.
  • Sound awareness regarding the handling of hazardous chemicals.
  • Ability to understand Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) for chemicals.
  • Knowledge of product and chemical compatibility.
  • Demonstrated flexibility, punctuality, and the ability to work effectively within a team.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position located at our facility in Al Jubayl, Saudi Arabia. The role requires a commitment to operational excellence and safety within an industrial setting.
