The Role of SAP Specialist

KBR is seeking an SAP Specialist to join its team in Al Jubail, Eastern Region. This full-time role involves coordinating and executing responsibilities related to establishing and governing the Total Reliability Program Framework throughout the asset lifecycle within a refinery setting. The specialist will play a key role in implementing reliability methodologies and managing asset lifecycle procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and execute responsibilities for governing and establishing the Total Reliability Program Framework across the remaining asset lifecycle in the refinery.
• Prepare the framework and methodology for criticality assessment and the Reliability Improvement Program for refinery assets.
• Lead and perform Asset Criticality Analysis for all refinery assets.
• Collect data for criticality assessment, lead/conduct Asset Criticality assessment workshops, compile findings into reports, and populate data for SAP upload with supporting documents.
• Champion the implementation of various reliability methodologies for all asset types by establishing reliability programs to sustain operational excellence.
• Serve as the focal point for reviews and technical matters related to reliability culture development in projects and operating facilities, providing guidance to safeguard asset reliability throughout the asset lifecycle.
• Administer and perform Asset Lifecycle management procedures, including Asset Criticality Ranking, SAP Taxonomy, Asset Operating Limits (IOW), Asset Maintenance Development Procedures, Master Data Developments in SAP, Bill of Materials (BOM) in SAP, and active SAP-PMs implementation and effectiveness.
• Initiate and conduct essential studies for facilities and operational asset improvements, providing specialized technical service in relevant engineering disciplines, acting as a consultant on complex engineering problems, designs, and/or projects, and coordinating with plant-wide teams.
• Adapt lessons learned from benchmarks and safety cases identified from events, providing recommendations in consultation with management to ensure continuous assurance methodology is applied to sustain the health of Safety-Critical Equipment concerning the Total Reliability program.
• Work with multidisciplinary teams to analyze specific integrity and performance, suggest methods for preventing chronic failures, and support the review of Total Reliability program KPIs.
• Report to the Project Manager and lead the Reliability section to deliver periodic outcomes and weekly/fortnightly project progress reports.
• Work closely with the project execution team to ensure complete familiarization and commitment to the Reliability Transformation Program.

Experience Requirements

Candidates for this role should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience in SAP and reliability programs within an industrial setting.
