The Role of Quantity Surveyor

Penspen is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join its team in Al Khafji, Eastern Region. This full-time position involves assisting the Project Management Services (PMS) cost control team in monitoring and managing project costs across all phases. The role requires 5-10 years of experience and focuses on ensuring cost accuracy and alignment with project baselines.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the PMS cost control team in monitoring and managing project costs throughout all phases.
• Review contractor cost reports, budgets, and forecasts for completeness and accuracy.
• Maintain up-to-date cost tracking and support variance analysis.
• Monitor commitments, expenditures, and trends to ensure alignment with project baselines.
• Support monthly reporting, invoice verification, and change management tracking.
• Ensure consistency of cost data within PMS systems.
• Assist in preparing cost reports for Client submission.
• Coordinate with planning, contracts, and procurement functions to ensure accurate financial control and reporting.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• 5-10 years of experience in project cost engineering for major Oil and Gas/Petrochemical projects.
• Capable of evaluating and consulting on project cost accounting.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Al Khafji, Eastern Region. The role involves working within the PMS cost control team, collaborating with various internal functions to ensure robust financial control and reporting for projects.
