About the Opportunity
Penspen, a leading energy services company with over 70 years of global experience, is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer (Asset Integrity - Corrosion) to join their team in Al Khafji, Eastern region. This is a full-time position focused on ensuring the integrity and longevity of critical energy assets.
Role Purpose
The primary purpose of this role is to provide essential technical assurance and review for EPC contractor deliverables. The focus will be specifically on materials and corrosion protection within asset integrity projects, requiring a strong background in these specialized areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate corrosion control strategies, material selection diagrams (MSDs), painting and coating specifications, and cathodic protection designs.
- Review EPC contractor’s corrosion studies to ensure full compliance with applicable industry standards, including NACE, API, and ISO.
- Actively participate in material selection workshops, vendor bid evaluations, and comprehensive design reviews.
- Provide support for site inspections related to corrosion and the application of coatings.
- Verify the correct implementation of corrosion monitoring systems and associated documentation.
- Offer recommendations aimed at enhancing material integrity and improving the lifecycle performance of project facilities.
Qualifications and Experience
- A minimum of 12 years of relevant professional experience is required.
- Demonstrated expertise in asset integrity and corrosion is essential for this position.
- Proficiency in relevant industry standards such as NACE, API, and ISO.
