Senior Mechanical Engineer (Rotating ) ( onshore offshore)

About the Role

Penspen is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer-Rotating to join its engineering team. This full-time position is based in Al Khafji, Eastern Region, Saudi Arabia, and will focus on a major Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) project. The role requires a professional with over 10 years of experience in mechanical engineering, specifically with rotating equipment.

Role Context

The Senior Mechanical Engineer-Rotating will lead engineering activities for rotating equipment across various project phases. Familiarity with Saudi Aramco standards and prior experience in major brownfield FEED/EPC projects will be considered an advantage for this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead rotating equipment engineering activities for FEED, detailed design, and EPC phases of oil & gas projects.
• Develop data sheets, specifications, and requisitions for rotating equipment, including compressors, pumps, turbines, blowers, and packaged systems.
• Review vendor offers, perform technical bid evaluations, and participate in vendor meetings and design reviews.
• Ensure compliance with API, ASME, ISO, and other relevant international standards.
• Coordinate with process, piping, instrumentation, and electrical disciplines for equipment integration.
• Review vendor documents (GA drawings, datasheets, performance curves, etc.) and ensure timely approval.
• Provide technical support during procurement, fabrication, installation, and commissioning phases.
• Participate in HAZOP, HAZID, SIL, and design review workshops.
• Mentor junior engineers and review their deliverables for quality and accuracy.
• Support client and internal audits and ensure adherence to project quality and safety standards.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a focus on rotating equipment.
• Experience in FEED, detailed design, and EPC phases of oil & gas projects.
• Familiarity with Saudi Aramco standards is an advantage.
• Experience in major brownfield FEED/EPC projects is an advantage.
