Role Overview

Penspen is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join its team in Khafji, Eastern, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves providing technical oversight and review for major Oil and Gas/Petrochemical projects, focusing on static mechanical equipment deliverables from EPC contractors.

Key Responsibilities

Provide technical oversight and review of EPC contractor deliverables related to static mechanical equipment, including pressure vessels, heat exchangers, tanks, and columns.
Review design calculations, datasheets, and specifications to ensure compliance with applicable codes (ASME, API, TEMA) and project standards.
Verify material selection, design thickness, and mechanical integrity of equipment.
Review vendor documentation and participate in technical bid evaluations and Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs).
Monitor EPC contractor progress, assess deviations, and provide recommendations for corrective actions.
Ensure that mechanical designs meet safety, operability, and maintainability requirements.
Support field inspections and mechanical completion activities, ensuring adherence to quality of deliverables.

Qualifications and Experience

A minimum of twelve (12) years of overall experience.
At least six (6) years of experience specifically within the field of Mechanical Engineering for major Oil and Gas/Petrochemical projects.
