About the Senior Process Engineer Role

Penspen is seeking a Senior Process Engineer with a specialization in Asset Integrity to join their team in Al Khafji, Eastern Province, Saudi Arabia. This is a core engineering position responsible for delivering a volume of engineering activities on projects and within the business as required. The role demands a strong understanding of process engineering principles and their application within the oil and gas and petrochemical sectors.

Key Responsibilities

The Senior Process Engineer will contribute to the production of engineering activities for projects and business needs, applying knowledge of basic engineering processes. Key duties include ensuring adherence to international codes, standards, and engineering practices, and managing and executing all aspects of design from concept through to detailed design. The role involves conducting technical analysis of engineering problems, developing Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), and utilizing Hysys Simulation software to develop Heat and Material Balance (H&MB) documentation. Preparation of engineering deliverables in accordance with company technical competency standards is also a core function.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • A minimum of 12 years of professional experience is required.
  • At least 8 years of this experience must be specifically within Process Engineering for major Oil and Gas/Petrochemical projects.
  • Mandatory experience in Asset Integrity projects is essential.
  • Familiarity with all aspects of design, from concept to detailed design.
  • Proficiency in the technical analysis of engineering problems.
  • Ability to prepare engineering deliverables that meet company technical competency standards.

  • Extensive knowledge and application of Process Engineering principles.
