Job Description

About the Role

ARASCO is seeking a Sr. Specialist, Logistics to join their team in Al-Kharj. This full-time role involves executing and optimizing the transportation schedule for finished goods from the ACP plant to customer sites. The specialist will be responsible for ensuring smooth operations by managing resources and maintaining strong internal and external relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute the finished goods transportation schedule efficiently.
  • Ensure adherence to the transportation schedule prepared by the Sales & Marketing department and the Planning Manager.
  • Oversee the timely completion of loading operations.
  • Coordinate with the Senior Executive - Logistics to arrange necessary resources, including vehicles, drivers, and helpers, for scheduled trips.
  • Collaborate with ARASCO Logistics to ensure truck availability for consignments and arrange alternative shipping methods if ARASCO Logistics trucks are unavailable.
  • Ensure on-schedule delivery of finished goods to customer sites and depots to minimize delays.
  • Communicate any delays and estimated truck arrival times to internal customers.
  • Ensure complete documentation for finished goods transportation.
  • Report daily deviations from the transportation plan.

Logistics Performance and Communication

  • Work with the Senior Executive - Logistics to enhance transportation capacities in line with ACP's expansion plans.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with the Senior Executive – Logistics and plant managers to confirm the availability of quantities for delivery.
  • Communicate with Sales Managers, as needed, to ensure accurate product specifications and quantities are delivered to customers in a timely manner.
  • Engage with ARASCO Logistics for fleet-related issues and with external transporters when ARASCO Logistics trucks are unavailable.

Decision Making

The role involves contingency planning and implementation when required, with decisions made in consultation with the Senior Executive - Logistics.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A minimum of 4+ years of relevant experience in logistics or transportation management.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage transportation schedules and resources effectively.
  • Strong coordination and communication skills to interact with internal and external stakeholders.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Al-Kharj, requiring collaboration with various internal departments and external partners to ensure efficient logistics operations.
