Transportation Specialist

About the Role

Fastgate Logistics is seeking a Transportation Specialist to join our team in Makkah, with operations covering Jeddah and Makkah. This full-time role involves managing land transport services, specifically providing suitable trucks and vehicles for client requests and directly engaging with carriers and transport service providers across Saudi Arabia and Gulf countries.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide trucks promptly based on shipment type and route requirements.
• Engage with carriers and truck owners, including price negotiation.
• Secure competitive transport prices to achieve suitable profit margins.
• Monitor drivers and shipments from the point of loading through to delivery.
• Develop and expand the database of carriers and suppliers.
• Arrange trucks for transporting containers from ports.
• Handle various truck types, including flatbeds, curtains, refrigerators, boxes, and trailers.
• Resolve issues and delays that may arise during transport operations.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Proven experience in providing land transport services within Saudi Arabia and Gulf countries.
• Possession of a direct network of relationships with carriers and truck owners.
• Good understanding of transport routes and pricing structures.
• Demonstrated ability to provide trucks quickly and efficiently.
• Strong negotiation and follow-up skills.
• Experience in transporting containers from Jeddah Islamic Port is preferred.
• Commitment, reliability, and the ability to perform effectively under pressure.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Makkah, focusing on logistics operations across Jeddah and Makkah, and extending to other regions within Saudi Arabia and Gulf countries. The role requires active engagement with external partners and continuous monitoring of transport activities.
