Associate Project Manager

About the Role

ABB is seeking an Associate Project Manager to join its team in Al Khobar, Eastern Region. This full-time position is within the Automation Business Area, specifically the Process Industries Division, Mining & Materials Business Line. The role primarily focuses on projects in Saudi Arabia, with potential extension to other GCC countries, serving Mining & Cements manufacturers.

Role Context and Reporting

The Associate Project Manager will lead the execution of extra small, small, and medium-sized projects. This role reports directly to the ME Operation Manager and involves ensuring all project activities adhere to established procedures, regulations, standards, specifications, and targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the project team assigned to each project.
• Prepare Bills of Material (BOM) and support procurement processes.
• Monitor and control project progress, resource utilization efficiency, and project financials.
• Identify, qualify, quantify, and manage project risks, while also pursuing identified opportunities.
• Drive the formal acceptance of the project, contract close-out, and customer acknowledgment in accordance with the contract.
• Define and apply basic project scheduling techniques to proactively manage schedule risks.
• Coordinate with all project stakeholders to ensure smooth execution.
• Deliver contracted deliverables and meet committed project results.

Required Experience

• Candidates should possess 2-5 years of relevant experience in project management.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia. The role involves working with main stakeholders in the Mining & Cements manufacturing sectors across Saudi Arabia and potentially other GCC countries.
