About the Role

Wood is seeking a Lead Quality & Inspection Plant to join our team in Al Khobar, Eastern region, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is crucial for supporting our projects business, specifically contributing to the development of a new gold mine and processing facility located at a remote site within Saudi Arabia. The role involves comprehensive management of quality across various organizational aspects and services provided by Wood.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of Quality across the organization and the services delivered.
• Identify and regularly engage with key stakeholders to promote quality management and gather performance feedback.
• Oversee and regularly engage with quality teams, ensuring competence assurance, performance appraisal, objective setting, and sharing of best practices.
• Plan and allocate resources effectively, including personnel and budgets, to achieve agreed objectives and deliverables.
• Drive the Wood Business Management System (BMS) across the organization, ensuring effective application and routine monitoring, assessment, and improvement of compliance. Facilitate external BMS certification as required.
• Ensure consistent and effective implementation of Quality supporting systems, such as NCR, Improvement action, and lessons learned, throughout the organization.
• Support tender and proposal activities for the organization.
• Plan and execute risk-based assurance plans, escalating significant findings to senior leadership.
• Monitor and analyze delivery performance data, reporting themes and trends to senior leaders regularly, and undertaking interventions as necessary.
• Drive efforts to maximize margin enhancement.
• Ensure quality is maintained across the Supply Chain to assure right first-time delivery.
• Gather and act upon customer feedback to maintain and improve customer satisfaction.

Qualifications and Requirements

• A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, preferably within the associated industry.
• Lead Auditor qualification from a recognized industry body (essential).
• Formal training in recognized root cause analysis techniques (essential).
• Comprehensive understanding of industry standards, particularly ISO 9001.

Required Skills and Experience

• Proven experience in building and managing relationships with customers and key stakeholders.
• Experience working effectively within multifunctional teams.
• Demonstrated ability to manage change and adapt to a dynamic work environment.
• High level of communication skills, both written and spoken.
• Proficiency in the use of continuous improvement tools and techniques.
• Membership of CQI/ASQ Quality organizations, Project Management Institute, or equivalent (desirable).

This full-time role is based in Al Khobar, Eastern region, Saudi Arabia, with responsibilities extending to a remote project site for a new gold mine and processing facility. The position requires engagement with diverse teams and stakeholders in a project-driven environment.
