About the Senior Quality Specialist Role

Bechtel Corporation is seeking a Senior Quality Specialist to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is integral to the project management consultancy services for the development of the King Salman International Airport. The role involves leading the implementation and audit activities of the project quality program, ensuring adherence to stringent quality standards for this significant infrastructure project.

Purpose of the Role

As a Senior Quality Specialist, you will be responsible for leading the execution and oversight of the project's quality program. This includes reviewing contractor Quality Management System (QMS) plans, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), and quality procedures. Your expertise will be crucial in identifying and addressing non-conforming conditions, evaluating corrective actions, and providing recommendations to resolve complex issues, thereby mitigating performance risks across the project.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide daily support and guidance to the project team on quality requirements and management system arrangements.
• Contribute to project Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) on a monthly basis.
• Review contractor submittals, including quality manuals, procedures, Quality Plans, ITPs, and audit schedules.
• Prepare and complete quality audit checklists, participating in audits of corporate and project quality programs, including those for contractors and potential suppliers.
• Assess and monitor project activities such as engineering, environmental, procurement, construction, testing, operations, and decommissioning related to the quality program.
• Review and monitor non-conforming conditions and associated corrective actions to ensure program effectiveness.
• Determine applicable quality requirements for inclusion in engineering, procurement, and construction documents.
• Draft quality procedures, revisions, and amendments for corporate and project quality programs.
• Review and report on new or revised regulatory requirements and their impact on the established quality program.
• Analyze and recommend solutions to mitigate performance risks.
• Follow up on audit findings to ensure the adequacy of completed corrective actions.
• Maintain communication with client quality personnel, providing status updates and managing relationships.
• Provide direction and assign tasks to quality specialists and other support personnel, reviewing their work.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 8-10 years of relevant experience in quality management roles.
• Demonstrated ability to lead the implementation and auditing of quality programs.
• Strong understanding of Quality Management Systems (QMS), Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), and quality procedures.
• Proficiency in reviewing and interpreting regulatory requirements and their impact on quality programs.
• Experience in monitoring non-conforming conditions and evaluating corrective actions.
