Master Data Management (MDM) Manager

About the Role

Salt is seeking an experienced Master Data Management (MDM) Manager to lead its Data Management function. This full-time role is based in Al Khobar, Eastern region, and involves overseeing the MDM strategy, governance, and operational excellence within a large, complex enterprise environment. The successful candidate will ensure the accuracy, consistency, quality, and reliability of master data across various business functions and systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of the Master Data Management strategy, aligning it with broader business and technology objectives.
• Establish and maintain robust data governance, stewardship, and quality frameworks.
• Oversee the integration and consolidation of master data from multiple sources and enterprise systems.
• Drive data harmonisation, standardisation, modelling, and mapping to ensure consistency across the organisation.
• Oversee the implementation, management, and optimisation of MDM platforms and tools.
• Develop and maintain the master data architecture strategy and roadmap.
• Establish data quality KPIs, monitor performance, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure appropriate policies, procedures, and controls are in place to support data integrity, compliance, and operational efficiency.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the Data Management team, setting objectives and ensuring effective delivery.
• Collaborate with senior stakeholders across technology and business functions to drive adoption of data management standards and practices.
• Manage budgets, resources, and operational performance within the Data Management function.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Management, or a related discipline. A Master's degree is advantageous.
• Minimum of 9 years of experience in Data Management, Master Data Management, or a related IT function.
• At least 3 years of experience in a supervisory or management position.
• Proven experience in implementing and managing enterprise Master Data Management solutions.
• Strong understanding of data governance, data stewardship, and data quality frameworks.
• Experience in data modelling, mapping, integration, harmonisation, and standardisation.
• Knowledge of MDM platforms and technologies such as Informatica, SAP MDG, IBM InfoSphere, or Reltio is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of enterprise data architecture and master data management strategies.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.
• CDMP or other relevant data management certifications are an advantage.

Work Environment

This role operates within a large, complex enterprise environment, requiring collaboration with various business and technology functions. The position is full-time and based in Al Khobar.
