Job Summary: Procurement Officer

Abdullah A. Al-Barrak & Son Co. is seeking a Procurement Officer to join their team in Al Khobar, Eastern Province. This full-time role is essential for managing the sourcing, purchasing, and expediting of materials, equipment, and services required for project execution. The Procurement Officer ensures timely delivery at competitive costs, adhering to project specifications and established procurement procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Process purchase requisitions and prepare purchase orders for project materials and services.
• Source and obtain competitive quotations from approved vendors and subcontractors.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
• Expedite purchase orders to ensure on-time delivery aligned with project schedules.
• Maintain comprehensive procurement records, vendor files, and purchase order tracking logs.
• Coordinate with QC and warehouse teams to verify material receipt against purchase orders and specifications.
• Liaise with planning and site teams to align procurement activities with material requirement dates.
• Support vendor evaluation processes and maintain the approved vendor list.
• Ensure all procurement activities comply with company procedures and project requirements.
• Support cost tracking and reporting for procured materials and services.
• Resolve delivery discrepancies, damages, and supplier non-conformances.
• Coordinate customs and import documentation as required.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience, with 5-10 years preferred, in procurement or purchasing specifically within EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) or industrial construction projects.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Al Khobar, Eastern Province, focusing on supporting project execution through efficient procurement practices.
