Project Engineer Overhead Transmission Line

About the Role

Vrinda Global is seeking a Project Engineer Overhead Transmission Line to join their team in Al Khobar, Eastern region. This full-time role focuses on leading the execution, coordination, and monitoring of 380kV Overhead Transmission Line (OHTL) EPC projects for Saudi Electricity Company (SEC), ensuring adherence to technical specifications, quality guidelines, HSE rules, and project schedules.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage technical aspects including reviewing drawings, design calculations, tower spotting, and sag-tension profiles, and handling Technical Queries (TQs) and Requests for Information (RFIs).
• Oversee site supervision activities such as survey, foundation work, tower assembly and erection, conductor and OPGW stringing, earthing, and commissioning support.
• Develop work schedules, monitor baseline progress, allocate resources, and manage subcontractors for project execution and planning.
• Coordinate with stakeholders, serving as the primary contact between EPC contractors and SEC representatives, and managing client approvals and inspections.
• Enforce strict adherence to Inspection and Test Plans (ITP), resolve Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), and implement SEC safety and permit-to-work protocols.
• Oversee material availability for towers, conductors, and OPGW, maintain progress reports, and support line energization and project handover.

Qualifications and Experience

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience: 10 to 15 years of experience in transmission lines, with a minimum of 5 years dedicated to 380kV OHTL EPC projects.
• Certifications/Registrations: Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) registration is required. SEC approval and Project Management Professional (PMP) certification are preferred.
• Track Record: Prior project experience with Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) or GCC utility contractors is essential.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Al Khobar, requiring on-site presence and coordination with various project stakeholders and contractors.
