Pump Quality & HSE Engineer ( QRC)

About the Role

Flowserve is seeking a Pump Quality & HSE Engineer (QRC) to join its team in Al Khobar, Eastern, Saudi Arabia. This full-time, hands-on individual contributor role is responsible for supporting and coordinating quality assurance, inspection, health, safety, and environmental activities within the Pump QRC. The engineer ensures compliance with applicable drawings, procedures, specifications, statutory requirements, customer requirements, and internal standards, while actively promoting a safe work environment and adherence to HSE practices. Strong technical depth in quality, inspection, and site safety is required, with direct experience in the Pump's OEM/QRC field being essential.

Quality Responsibilities

• Perform and support documented inspections to verify conformance of parts, repairs, and assemblies to applicable drawings, procedures, specifications, and statutory/regulatory requirements.
• Support the Inspection Test Plan (ITP) and project quality plan in line with customer and Flowserve requirements.
• Define, coordinate, and control project quality documentation required for repairs, inspections, and final release.
• Perform dimensional, visual, painting, and welding inspections according to applicable procedures and acceptance criteria.
• Review and verify supplier, welder, and NDE personnel qualifications and ensure compliance with required standards.
• Review and approve supplier manufacturing and testing documents, and support customer and third-party inspection approvals when required.
• Prepare test and inspection requirements for assigned projects, including ITPs and procurement specifications.
• Document non-conforming material and support NCR processing and resolution.
• Support internal quality audits, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement activities.
• Ensure adherence to relevant quality standards, laws, regulations, and customer-specific requirements.
• Maintain accurate records, inspection reports, quality logs, and release documentation.
• Support operational excellence initiatives and high levels of customer service.

HSE Responsibilities

• Support the implementation of site HSE procedures and safe work practices within the Pump QRC.
• Promote compliance with HSE policies, permit-to-work requirements, and risk control measures.
• Participate in hazard identification, risk assessments, toolbox talks, and safety awareness activities.
• Monitor work areas for unsafe conditions and unsafe behaviors and support corrective actions.
• Support incident reporting, investigation, and follow-up actions.
• Ensure contractors and employees follow required safety requirements, including PPE, housekeeping, lifting safety, and equipment safety.
• Assist in environmental and safety compliance activities as required by site procedures and regulations.
• Encourage a strong safety culture through coaching, communication, and daily field presence.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in a pump OEM, repair, or rotating equipment environment.
• Thorough experience and understanding of machining, assembly, and test operations for pumps and associated accessories.
• Demonstrated experience working in a repair/QRC or manufacturing environment is a mandatory requirement.

Skills and Attributes

• Knowledge of inspection equipment and tools used in machining, assembly, and test operations.
• Awareness of HSE requirements for industrial workshop and field environments.
• Familiarity with permit-to-work, risk assessment, PPE, lifting safety, and safe equipment handling.
• Flexible, eager to learn, accurate, with a positive, can-do attitude.
• Flexibility and willingness to travel.
• Good interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills.

Reporting Structure and Location

This full-time position is based in Al Khobar, Eastern, Saudi Arabia, and reports directly to the Quality Manager.
