Purpose of the Role

The Purchasing Supervisor plays a key role in overseeing the procurement processes, ensuring the efficient and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services necessary for hotel operations. This position involves managing supplier relationships and contributing to the overall financial health of the establishment through strategic purchasing practices and adherence to company standards.

Core Responsibilities

• Supervising daily purchasing operations and activities to ensure timely and accurate procurement.
• Managing vendor relationships, including negotiation of terms, pricing, and service agreements.
• Ensuring strict compliance with company purchasing policies, procedures, and ethical guidelines.
• Monitoring inventory levels and coordinating supply needs with various departments to prevent shortages.
• Identifying and implementing opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements within the procurement process.
• Preparing comprehensive purchasing reports and maintaining accurate records of all transactions and supplier data.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for the Purchasing Supervisor position are required to possess 5-10 years of professional experience in a purchasing or procurement role. Experience within the hospitality industry or a related sector is preferred. A strong understanding of supply chain management principles and effective vendor negotiation techniques is expected for this role.
