TPE V/ Principal Pipeline Engineer

About the Role

Wood is seeking a TPE V/Principal Pipeline Engineer to join their project team in Al Khobar, Eastern Region, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position requires an experienced professional to contribute to major projects within the energy and materials sectors.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide discipline expertise to the business, focusing on an area of specialization.
• Perform engineering assignments and produce a range of engineering deliverables, including complex tasks.
• Evaluate, select, and adapt standard techniques, procedures, and criteria for task execution.
• Execute standard engineering activities, working unsupervised on most aspects.
• Perform conventional aspects of design engineering and analysis, acting as a document originator.
• Create and review designs, drawings, specifications, and other engineering deliverables for existing and new technologies.
• Establish detailed designs and performance specifications to fulfill general requirements for components, systems, and processes.
• Plan and carry out successive steps, addressing problems with general guidance.
• Manage discipline cost and schedule requirements for deliverables, coordinate work schedules, and prepare progress reports.
• Recommend changes in plans and estimated costs when necessary.
• Develop engineering deliverables such as specifications, calculations, reports, and technical requisitions.
• Interpret specifications and investigate difficulties.
• Review vendor documents and actively participate in design reviews.
• Conduct problem-solving in areas of expertise, developing alternative solutions, and identifying risks and benefits.
• Develop solutions to non-recurring problems by appraising, interpreting, and evaluating precedents and data.
• Exercise professional judgment in selecting and interpreting information and modifying standard methods.
• Provide technical input and support to proposals as required.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in pipeline engineering.
• Expertise in layout and material.
• Knowledge of stress analysis.
• Proficient user of relevant software and calculation templates.
• Ability to comprehend and interpret technical information applicable to the engineering discipline.
• Demonstrated application of theory in a practical context.
• Experience with major projects completed in an S3D/E3D environment.
