This establishment is seeking a Junior Pastry Sous Chef to contribute to its pastry section. This is a full-time position with a salary of 7,000 SAR monthly.

About the Role

As a Junior Pastry Sous Chef, you will provide support to the Head Pastry Chef in managing the pastry section. The role involves taking ownership of daily production, which includes viennoiserie and plated desserts, while maintaining high quality standards. You will also be responsible for developing the junior team and leading the section when required.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute classic and contemporary pastry techniques with precision and attention to presentation.
• Actively participate in motivating and developing the pastry team, maintaining discipline during busy services, and leading the section in the Head Pastry Chef's absence.
• Plan daily production, rigorously monitor shelf life, maintain strict FIFO and labeling standards, and flawlessly execute freezing and defrosting procedures.
• Ensure every item meets strict standards for taste, texture, and visual appeal while keeping the workspace clean, safe, and compliant.
• Monitor stock levels, manage portion controls, and minimize waste, ensuring premium quality is maintained while controlling food costs.

Qualifications and Experience

• 2-5 years of experience in a relevant pastry role.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain uncompromising quality in pastry production.
• Experience in developing and mentoring junior team members.
• Proficiency in classic and contemporary pastry techniques.
