About the Marina Operations Manager Role
Red Sea Global, through its subsidiary Coastal Transportation Services Company, is seeking a Marina Operations Manager to oversee operations at its Red Sea destination in Tabuk, specifically in Al Wajh and Tabuk. This full-time role requires a hands-on approach to ensure the efficient and safe management of marina facilities and services.
Role Purpose and Scope
The Marina Operations Manager is responsible for the successful handover, start-up, and ongoing operation of the marina and associated jetties. This includes pre-handover collaboration with project delivery teams, snagging, and commissioning. The role demands proactive oversight of daily activities, staff management, training, infrastructure maintenance, and the delivery of exceptional service to guests and vessel owners. The position requires a strong presence within the marina.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage marina handover from contractors and suppliers, ensuring compliance with all relevant certifications and regulations.
- Oversee daily operational management, including dock checks, planned preventative maintenance (PMP), vessel berthing, fueling, utility connections, waste disposal, security, and environmental checks.
- Ensure all operations adhere to Red Sea Global (RSG) and international best practice safety and environmental standards.
- Develop, implement, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) aligned with RSG and Coastal Transportation Services Company (CTSC) policies.
- Address and resolve staff and customer inquiries and complaints promptly and professionally.
- Lead, train, and supervise dockhand teams to achieve operational KPIs and foster a unified team environment.
- Set performance expectations, provide feedback, and conduct performance reviews in accordance with company HR policies.
- Promote a positive and collaborative multicultural work environment.
- Demonstrate flexibility in working hours as required and act as a role model for timekeeping and HR policies.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance plans for marina infrastructure, including docks, pilings, electrical systems, safety equipment, and fuel stations.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance plans for marina operating equipment, such as club cars and pumps.
- Oversee the timely execution of repair and maintenance projects.
- Manage relationships with external contractors and service providers, maintaining regular reporting for traceability.
- Implement and enforce rigorous safety protocols, including progressive training as needed.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and drills, evaluating responses and providing retraining as per RSG and CTSC policies.
- Prepare and submit regular reports on operations, maintenance, environmental compliance, and performance metrics.
- Maintain accurate records of marina usage, maintenance logs, and incident reports using document quality management systems and ISO standards.
- Perform detailed risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies with management approval.
- Communicate effectively via VHF radio using clear marine vocabulary.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering, Maritime Operations, or a related field.
- 5 to 10 years of experience in marina operations or a related field.
- Proven experience managing a team and overseeing superyacht marina operations.
- Strong knowledge of marine safety regulations, Emergency Response Plans (ERPs), and environmental practice standards.
- Experience in powerboating or sailing, with the ability to handle small boats (under 12m).

- Proficiency in project management and willingness to work within a construction environment.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Well-organized and adept at multitasking.
- Ability to produce management reports.
- English language proficiency is essential; Arabic language skills are advantageous.
Work Environment and Context
This role operates in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing operations from construction handover through to full operational status, often working outdoors. The position requires physical stamina, adaptability, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Effective and regular reporting to management is crucial for issue resolution. The role is based outside of a major city, suiting individuals accustomed to a quieter lifestyle. This is a full-time position.
