About the Role

Nammos Resort Amaala, located in Al Wajh, Tabuk, Saudi Arabia, is seeking a Sustainability & Environment Manager. This full-time role is central to developing, implementing, and overseeing the resort’s sustainability, environmental, and ESG initiatives. The Manager ensures the resort operates in an environmentally responsible manner, aligning with brand values, guest expectations, regulatory requirements, and global sustainability standards. This position requires 5-10 years of relevant experience.

Strategic Leadership

The role involves leading the development and execution of the resort’s sustainability and environmental strategy. This includes embedding sustainability principles across all departments and operations to reduce environmental impact and promote responsible luxury.

  • Develop and implement the resort’s sustainability and environmental strategy in line with brand standards and business objectives.
  • Lead initiatives related to energy efficiency, water conservation, waste reduction, and responsible sourcing.
  • Ensure sustainability principles are integrated across all departments and operations.

Compliance and Risk Management

The Manager is responsible for ensuring full compliance with environmental regulations and proactively managing potential risks. This involves continuous monitoring and engagement with external bodies.

  • Ensure compliance with local, national, and international environmental regulations.
  • Monitor environmental risks and implement mitigation measures as required.
  • Liaise with regulatory authorities, auditors, and external consultants.

Performance Monitoring and Reporting

This position oversees the tracking of environmental performance, identifying areas for improvement, and managing all related reporting and certification processes.

  • Monitor and analyze energy, water, and waste performance across the resort.
  • Identify opportunities for efficiency improvements and cost savings.
  • Implement systems to track environmental KPIs and performance metrics.
  • Lead sustainability audits and certification processes (*, LEED, EarthCheck, Green Globe).
  • Prepare sustainability reports, ESG disclosures, and performance dashboards for management.
  • Support brand and corporate reporting requirements related to sustainability.

Stakeholder Engagement and Innovation

The Manager fosters a culture of environmental responsibility through engagement with colleagues, guests, and the local community, while also driving continuous improvement through innovation.

  • Drive sustainability awareness and engagement programs for colleagues.
  • Collaborate with HR and L&D to deliver environmental training and initiatives.
  • Promote a culture of environmental responsibility across the resort.
  • Support guest-facing sustainability initiatives that enhance the luxury guest experience.
  • Engage with local communities, suppliers, and partners on environmental and social initiatives.
  • Support conservation, biodiversity, and community projects aligned with the resort’s values.
  • Stay informed on emerging sustainability trends, technologies, and best practices.
  • Identify innovative solutions to enhance environmental performance and guest experience.
  • Continuously review and improve sustainability programs to meet evolving standards.

Experience Requirements

Candidates applying for the Sustainability & Environment Manager position must possess 5-10 years of professional experience in a related field, demonstrating a strong background in environmental management and sustainability initiatives.
