Wagon Workshop Foremen

About the Role

Saudi Railway Company is seeking a Wagon Workshop Foreman to join their team in An Nu'ayriyah, Eastern, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves overseeing workshop activities and ensuring the efficient maintenance of wagons, aligning with established policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise team leaders and their activities to ensure targets and objectives are met, and the business plan is delivered according to policies, processes, procedures, and systems.
• Manage team performance, including discipline, attendance, training, and quality standards.
• Prepare team plans and conduct annual staff evaluations.
• Oversee maintenance activities to ensure safe and efficient application of procedures and optimal maintenance implementation.
• Liaise daily with production and maintenance staff to identify potential issues and create timely rectification plans.
• Serve as an interface between support functions (warehouse, engineering, quality) and subcontractors.
• Ensure all maintenance work adheres to quality procedures, meeting or exceeding critical metrics.
• Verify that reports and checklists are updated accurately and comply with quality processes.
• Provide technical support and decision-making for production issues related to machines, materials, or assets under maintenance.
• Ensure all maintenance documentation, including the Maintenance Log, is completed correctly, detailing faults, repair methods, time, labor, and materials used.
• Review maintenance requirements (*, VMI, MPT) and develop internal documents specific to section needs (*, handover forms).
• Review monthly and annual requirements for machinery, spare parts, and general materials to ensure timely availability in line with maintenance plans and budget constraints.
• Provide technical details for purchase requests (tools, services) and assist in proper receipt.
• Be available to work or respond to work-related calls for urgent situations requiring immediate attention and guidance.

Qualifications and Experience

• Candidates should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise teams and manage maintenance operations effectively.
• Strong understanding of maintenance procedures, quality standards, and safety protocols.

Work Setting

This is a full-time position based in An Nu'ayriyah, Eastern, Saudi Arabia, within the Saudi Railway Company's workshop environment.
