About the Role

Dammam Airports is seeking a Modification & Minor Projects Airside (Area 1) professional to execute small-scale maintenance and modification projects within the airside areas in Dammam. This full-time role focuses on ensuring timely completion, quality control, resource optimization, and compliance with safety and regulatory standards. The objective is to minimize operational disruptions while maintaining the safety and efficiency of airside operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage with stakeholders during business case development to secure budget approval and necessary project resources.
• Coordinate daily execution of airside projects, ensuring adherence to schedules, budget, and quality standards.
• Monitor project progress and compliance with timelines, identifying and mitigating risks as needed.
• Oversee resource allocation, including contractors and materials, to ensure optimal project execution without disrupting airside operations.
• Monitor and evaluate contractor performance, ensuring all work meets safety and quality requirements.
• Ensure compliance with all safety and legal requirements related to project activities, including environmental and security protocols.
• Coordinate with the engineering team for project submittal reviews, inspections, and work permit issuance.
• Review and process invoices related to project deliverables, ensuring payments align with contractual obligations.
• Manage changes in project scope, schedule, or cost by implementing mitigation strategies and ensuring alignment with Dammam Airports policies.
• Apply Dammam Airports change management procedures for variation orders, ensuring appropriate approvals and documentation.
• Provide regular project updates and generate reports on progress, issues, and compliance to stakeholders.
• Ensure accurate project documentation, including safety, quality, and progress records, archived in the Dammam Airports database.
• Communicate project status to upper management and relevant stakeholders through reports and presentations.
• Complete project closeout activities, including gathering warranties, performance bonds, and required documentation.
• Manage contractual obligations for project closeout, ensuring both Dammam Airports and contractors meet all requirements.
• Coordinate testing, commissioning, and handover processes, ensuring all systems and infrastructure are fully operational.

Leadership and Collaboration

• Lead cross-functional teams, including contractors, consultants, and stakeholders, to ensure smooth collaboration and conflict resolution.
• Foster collaboration among teams to promote a positive working environment and meet project objectives.
• Handle disputes effectively, negotiating solutions to avoid project delays.

Stakeholder and Risk Management

• Engage stakeholders throughout project execution, ensuring their needs are met and expectations align with project goals.
• Develop communication plans for stakeholders to ensure timely updates and resolution of any issues.
• Ensure compliance with internal and external stakeholder requirements, particularly regarding safety, operational integrity, and quality control.
• Identify and mitigate project risks, developing strategies to address potential delays, safety hazards, or budget overruns.
• Monitor risks throughout the project lifecycle, adjusting plans and schedules as necessary to ensure project success.

Qualifications and Experience

• 3-4 years of relevant experience in project management, particularly in maintenance and modification projects.
• Demonstrated ability to manage projects from initiation to closeout, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
• Experience in coordinating with various stakeholders, including contractors and engineering teams.
