About Aloula Aviation and the Role

Aloula Aviation is seeking a Technical Advisor to join its team in Dammam, Eastern region. This full-time role is central to ensuring that all ground handling operations and maintenance activities adhere to the highest safety and quality standards, complying with both regulatory and internal requirements.

Purpose of the Technical Advisor

The Technical Advisor serves as the primary point of contact for the development, administration, and maintenance of GACAR 151 Manuals. This position provides continuous feedback on safety and quality oversight, including the management of escalation processes. A key aspect of the role involves performing periodic reviews of the GACAR 151 Manuals program and related policies to ensure ongoing improvement, relevance, and effective organizational deployment. Additionally, the advisor is responsible for establishing and maintaining mandatory and compliance training programs in accordance with GACA Regulations, specifically GACAR 151, 68, 138, and 139.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure all ground handling operations meet stringent quality and safety standards, fostering a safe working environment in compliance with local and international regulations.
  • Monitor, assess, and continuously enhance ground operations, Ground Support Equipment (GSE) operations, and Facilities Maintenance activities to ensure adherence to GACAR 151, GACAR 138, GACAR 139, ICAO, IATA, and International Standards of Business Aircraft Handling (IS-BAH).
  • Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive Safety Management System (SMS) and Quality Assurance processes across all ground operations.
  • Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and safety drills to proactively identify hazards, mitigate risks, and maintain safe working conditions.
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, and safety-related events within airport ground operations, determining root causes and recommending effective corrective actions.
  • Lead and coordinate safety and quality training programs for ground handling staff, promoting continuous professional development.
  • Promote a robust culture of safety and quality throughout the organization, encouraging proactive reporting on company safety platforms.
  • Implement and monitor Safety Performance Indicators (SPI) or Key Performance Indicators (KPI) to track the performance of ground operations safety and quality objectives.
  • Provide actionable insights and recommendations to senior leadership to enhance overall operational safety and efficiency.
  • Perform additional operational, safety, or management duties as directed by the reporting manager or higher management.

Required Experience and Knowledge

  • A minimum of 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in ground handling operations, safety, or quality assurance within the aviation industry.
  • Demonstrated expertise in GACA Regulations (GACAR 151, 68, 138, 139), ICAO, IATA, and IS-BAH standards.
  • Proven experience in developing, implementing, and maintaining Safety Management Systems (SMS) and Quality Assurance processes.
  • Strong understanding of risk assessment methodologies and incident investigation techniques.
