About the Opportunity

King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals (KFUPM) | جامعة الملك فهد للبترول والمعادن invites applications for Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor positions within the Department of Information Systems and Operations Management. These full-time faculty roles are based in Dhahran and contribute to the KFUPM Business School, which has maintained AACSB accreditation since 2002.

Areas of Specialization

The department is seeking candidates with demonstrated expertise in specific areas across Information Systems and Operations Management. Applicants should possess a strong background in one or more of the following fields:

• Information Systems: Systems Analysis and Design, Business Analytics, Data Management, Management Support Systems (DSS, ES, EIS, ANN, etc.), E-Commerce & Digital Business Models, AI in Business and Society, Internet Technologies and Web Applications, Digital Transformation.
• Operations Management: Supply Chain and Logistics Management, Operations Management, Quantitative Methods, Optimization, Simulation, Stochastic Modeling, Management Sciences, Decision Sciences and Risk Analysis.

Faculty Responsibilities

Faculty members are expected to contribute significantly to both teaching and research within their field of specialization. Key responsibilities include:

• Teaching undergraduate and graduate courses.
• Advising and mentoring students.
• Supervising MS and PhD theses and dissertations.
• Developing funded research programs appropriate to the field of specialization.

Required Qualifications

Successful candidates will demonstrate a strong commitment to quality education and student interaction. Applicants must meet the following criteria:

• An earned ** from a reputable institution.
• A strong record of published research.
• Experience in supervising the research of graduate students.
• Relevant teaching experience at the university level.
• Teaching and/or industrial experience in the respective areas of specialization.
