Role Overview

The Barge Captain holds critical authority and responsibility for the overall command, safety, and pollution prevention of offshore drilling vessels. This role involves making crucial decisions in real-time, maintaining clear communication, and ensuring operational success through collaboration with onshore support.

Key Responsibilities

• Exercise overriding authority and responsibility for vessel safety and pollution prevention.
• Navigate the vessel safely and efficiently in offshore environments.
• Ensure strict adherence to all relevant regulations and company policies.
• Lead and manage the vessel crew, fostering a safe and productive working environment.
• Maintain clear communication and collaborate effectively with onshore support teams.
• Respond to emergencies and make critical decisions in real-time to ensure operational continuity and safety.
• Request company assistance when necessary to support vessel operations.

Required Qualifications

• A minimum of 10 years of demonstrated experience in safe and efficient vessel operations within offshore environments.
• Proven experience working in fast-paced and demanding operational settings.
• Experience navigating in challenging weather conditions is preferred.
