About the Logistics Representative Role

King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals (KFUPM) is seeking a dedicated Logistics Representative to join its team in Dhahran, Eastern region. This full-time role is essential for coordinating and supporting logistics operations, ensuring the efficient movement, storage, and delivery of goods and materials to meet the University's operational requirements. The position requires 2-5 years of relevant experience in logistics.

Logistics Operations Coordination

• Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics activities to ensure the timely movement of goods and materials.
• Schedule shipments and deliveries in accordance with operational requirements.
• Coordinate logistics activities with suppliers, transport providers, and internal stakeholders.
• Ensure logistics operations are executed efficiently and in compliance with organizational procedures.

Transportation and Inventory Management

• Monitor shipment schedules and transportation activities, tracking deliveries and communicating shipment status to stakeholders.
• Coordinate with freight forwarders and transportation providers to resolve delivery issues.
• Ensure transportation activities comply with contractual and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate the receipt, storage, and dispatch of materials with warehouse personnel.
• Support inventory reconciliation and stock verification activities, ensuring materials are properly received and issued according to established procedures.

Documentation and Compliance

• Prepare shipping documents, delivery notes, and logistics records.
• Support customs clearance activities by coordinating required documentation.
• Maintain accurate logistics documentation and filing systems, ensuring all documentation complies with applicable regulations and organizational requirements.
• Ensure logistics activities comply with organizational policies and transportation regulations.
• Monitor adherence to safety and operational procedures.

Supplier Coordination and Performance Monitoring

• Coordinate logistics activities with suppliers, carriers, and third-party logistics providers.
• Follow up on delivery schedules and shipment commitments, resolving logistics-related issues through effective communication with suppliers.
• Support supplier performance monitoring related to logistics services.
• Prepare periodic logistics reports and shipment status updates.
• Monitor logistics Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and analyze logistics performance to identify operational issues.
• Provide accurate logistics information to management for decision-making.

Continuous Improvement and Risk Management

• Identify opportunities to improve logistics processes and operational efficiency.
• Support digital transformation and automation initiatives within logistics operations.
• Recommend improvements to logistics procedures and reporting methods.
• Stay informed of industry best practices and emerging logistics technologies.
• Identify logistics risks and report issues to management.
• Support audits by maintaining complete logistics records and documentation.
