NST Instructor Quartermaster

About the Role

BAE Systems is seeking a full-time NST Instructor – Quartermaster to join their team in Dhahran. This role involves delivering specialized naval training with a focus on Quartermaster elements. The successful candidate will operate with integrity and professionalism, fulfilling requests from the NST Management Team that align with company objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver the Naval Specialty Training curriculum, specifically Quartermaster-related elements.
• Support invigilation activities during trainee assessments.
• Conduct remedial training sessions as required.
• Develop and write assessment materials.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of courseware materials and media.
• Prepare Trainee reports to meet customer requirements.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Graduation from advanced military trade schools, industrial equivalents, or relevant educational establishments.
• Successful completion of an accredited Instructional Techniques course.
• Five (5) years of practical experience in the relevant specialty.
• At least two (2) years of recent instructional experience (gained within the last six years).

• Demonstrated English language proficiency through either:

  1. A valid IELTS certificate (gained in the last two years) with an average band score of and no pillar less than *
  2. A CEFR level of B1. If demonstrated through the British Council Aptis, it must be valid for one year only with no pillar less than B1, and Speaking and Listening pillars must achieve a minimum of B2.
• New Saudi National Specialty Instructors are required to provide an in-date IELTS certificate with a minimum overall score of , and speaking and listening band scores of upon recruitment.

Desirable Skills and Knowledge

• Knowledge of navigation and chart upkeep procedures.
• Familiarity with Maritime Tactical and Administration Voice procedures.
• Understanding of Visual Signaling Techniques, including flags and Morse code.
• Experience and knowledge of operating a working Bridge Trainer.
