Role Overview: Tornado Simulator Instructor Pilot/WSO

BAE Systems Saudi Arabia is seeking a Tornado Simulator Instructor Pilot/WSO to join its team in Dhahran. This full-time position is critical for providing comprehensive training to Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) Tornado pilots, Weapons System Operators (WSOs), and instructors.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct ground school for all RSAF Tornado courses.
• Deliver Continuation Training lectures and instruction based on the operational requirements of the aircrew.
• May be selected as a Standardisation Evaluation Flight Examiner to conduct simulator and other ground evaluations.
• Act as a subject matter expert on other associated duties as required.
• Provide academic instruction covering flight planning, including normal and advanced equipment (*, FDL and TAMPA), aircraft systems, subsystems, and displays, as well as instructional methodology/technique.
• Brief, conduct, and debrief all simulator missions.
• Plan missions for all phases of flight to ensure successful mission execution, including desired tactics and employment options/techniques.
• Operate associated simulators and cockpit trainers, including egress training.
• Train selected RSAF personnel to become qualified as simulator instructors.

Essential Qualifications and Experience

• Must be a Tornado flight lead Pilot/Weapons System Operator.
• Possess more than 250 hours of previous instructor time in any fighter aircraft.
• Accumulate more than 1,000 hours total fighter time as a combat-ready Pilot/Weapon System Operator.
• Graduate of the RAF Academic Instructor Course or an equivalent program.

Desirable Qualifications

• Other professional military aviation-related qualifications, including but not limited to supervisory/authorisation, flight/formation lead, weapons instructor, aviation safety, and human factors.
