Process Safety Manager

About the Role

Eram Talent is seeking a Process Safety Manager to lead and manage Process Safety Management (PSM) activities. This full-time position is based in Jazan, Jīzān, Saudi Arabia, and focuses on ensuring regulatory compliance, effective risk management, and continuous improvement across gasification and power generation operations. The primary goal is to prevent major process safety incidents, protect personnel and assets, and ensure safe and reliable operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain PSM systems in compliance with OSHA PSM, EPA RMP, API, NFPA, IEC 61511, and other applicable regulatory requirements.
• Lead Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) studies, including HAZOP, HAZID, LOPA, FMEA, and Bowtie Analysis, to identify and mitigate process hazards.
• Oversee process safety incident investigations, conduct root cause analysis, and ensure the implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
• Manage the integrity of safety-critical equipment, alarms, interlocks, and emergency shutdown systems to ensure operational reliability.
• Ensure safe management of changes to equipment, processes, technologies, and operating procedures through a robust Management of Change (MOC) system.
• Develop and maintain emergency response plans, explosion prevention measures, and fire protection strategies.
• Design and deliver process safety training programs for employees and contractors to enhance awareness and competency.
• Conduct PSM audits, monitor safety performance indicators, ensure ongoing regulatory compliance, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Lead the process safety team, provide technical guidance, and promote a proactive process safety culture throughout the organization.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in process safety management within relevant industries.
• Demonstrated expertise in developing and implementing PSM systems.
• Proficiency in leading various process hazard analysis methodologies.
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements such as OSHA PSM, EPA RMP, API, NFPA, and IEC 61511.
