Jazeera Paints is seeking to appoint an Accountant for a full-time position based in Jeddah. This role is integral to managing the financial operations within a specific region, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Role Purpose and Scope

The Accountant will be responsible for the comprehensive control and oversight of financial activities in the assigned region. This includes monitoring and enhancing financial procedures, maintaining meticulous records, and contributing to the overall financial health and regulatory adherence of the company's regional operations.

Core Financial Management

• Exercise comprehensive control over the financial operations of the assigned region.
• Monitor, evaluate, and enhance existing financial procedures and policies.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records for the region, ensuring the integrity of all financial data.
• Reconcile accounts, resolve discrepancies, and ensure financial records comply with regulatory standards.

Operational Accounting and Reporting

• Conduct monthly stock inventory checks in assigned branches and warehouses within the region.
• Prepare detailed reports highlighting discrepancies, ensuring transparency and accuracy in inventory records.
• Perform daily closing procedures for assigned branches, reconciling sales and cash transactions.
• Analyze intermediate accounts such as customer deposits and advance payments, ensuring accurate records and timely follow-up.
• Monitor and control regional expenses, ensuring adherence to budgetary guidelines.
• Provide insightful analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve overall financial efficiency.

Audit Support and Compliance

• Assist in financial audits by providing necessary documentation, data, and analytical support to auditors.
• Collaborate closely with the audit team to ensure a smooth audit process.

General Expectations

The Accountant is expected to execute all assigned activities using safe and environmentally sound methods. This role also involves performing any other duties assigned by the direct supervisor or manager, contributing to the overall operational needs of the department.
