Customs Clearance Specialist

About the Role

Freight & Logistics is seeking a Customs Clearance Specialist to join its operations in Jeddah, Makkah. This full-time role involves managing end-to-end customs clearance procedures for imports and exports, ensuring full compliance with Saudi Customs regulations and facilitating smooth cargo movement through regional ports.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and manage essential shipping documents, including Bills of Lading, Invoices, Packing Lists, and Certificates of Origin.
• Accurately classify goods using international HS codes and Saudi Customs tariff rates.
• Operate and navigate key Saudi trade and government platforms such as Fasah, Saber, and ZATCA.
• Coordinate with customs officers, port authorities (Jeddah Islamic Port / KAP), and logistics vendors to ensure timely shipment clearance.
• Stay informed on Saudi Standards (SASO), trade laws, and import/export restrictions to prevent penalties.
• Maintain precise digital records of all clearances, duty payments, and release notes for executive reporting.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in customs clearance, supply chain, or freight forwarding within Saudi Arabia.
• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of HS Code Classification and Saudi digital platforms (Fasah, Saber, ZATCA).
