Job Description

About the Role

Marriott International is seeking an Equipment and Laundry Technician to join our team in Jeddah. This full-time position is responsible for providing extensive technical support, maintenance, and troubleshooting for various IT and equipment systems. The role requires adherence to company policies and procedures, protection of company assets, and addressing guest service needs.

Core Responsibilities

  • Exchange information with other employees using electronic devices.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues.
  • Communicate with IS personnel to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems related to computer software, systems, internet access, hardware, and peripheral equipment.
  • Refer major problems or defective products to appropriate vendors or technicians.
  • Respond to program error messages by identifying and correcting issues or terminating programs as necessary.
  • Enter commands and activate controls on computer and peripheral equipment.
  • Inspect, test, and diagnose computer equipment and systems.
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of all technology devices.

System Management and Support

  • Maintain computer networks and provide support for server systems and associated software.
  • Provide comprehensive network communications support.
  • Maintain and upgrade hardware, software, and website technical architecture related to hardware and telecommunication connectivity.
  • Perform regular system backups to ensure data integrity.
  • Provide direct end-user support for technical inquiries and issues.

Workstation and User Account Management

  • Manage user accounts, including setup, removal, and password resets, while ensuring confidentiality and proper use.
  • Install, configure, and modify workstations.
  • Set up workstation components, including cables, desktop computers, laptops, docking stations, and printers.
  • Read technical manuals, consult with users, or conduct computer diagnostics to investigate and resolve problems or provide technical assistance.
  • Secure all backup tapes and computer/telephone rooms.
  • Educate users on procedures for securing Personal Identifiable Information (PII).

Required Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or *** equivalent.
  • Related Work Experience: At least 1 year of related work experience.
  • Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience is required for this role.
  • License or Certification: None specified.

Physical Requirements

The role requires the ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance. This full-time position is based in Jeddah.
