Executive chef ( Thai Cusine )

About the Role

Business Gate Company is seeking an Executive Chef (Thai Cuisine) to lead culinary operations and uphold high standards of authentic Thai cuisine. This full-time position is based in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia, and requires 5-10 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead culinary operations, ensuring quality and adherence to kitchen standards.
• Develop and launch new menus, recipes, and seasonal dishes.
• Oversee culinary research and development, recipe standardization, costing, and menu engineering.
• Manage food cost, yield, wastage, and kitchen productivity.
• Build, train, and develop a high-performance culinary team.
• Establish Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), quality systems, and training standards.
• Ensure compliance with SFDA and Saudi food safety requirements.
• Support the growth and scalability of the Thai Lee concept.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Proven experience as an Executive Chef, Executive Sous Chef, or a senior culinary leadership role.
• Deep hands-on expertise in authentic Thai cuisine.
• Strong experience in menu development, research and development (R&D), costing, and recipe standardization.
• Demonstrated leadership and team development experience.
• Strong understanding of food cost, waste management, and kitchen profitability.
• Full knowledge of SFDA food safety and hygiene requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with multi-branch or central kitchen operations.
• International Thai culinary experience or specialized training.
• Experience with premium or high-volume Thai restaurant concepts.
• Experience launching or scaling restaurant operations.
• Knowledge of the Saudi F&B market.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position within the culinary team of Business Gate Company, focusing on the Thai Lee concept in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia.
