Infrastructure Architect

Role Overview

CoorB is seeking an Infrastructure Architect to define and govern infrastructure architecture across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments. This contract role, based in Jeddah and Makkah, Saudi Arabia, requires an experienced professional with 8+ years in infrastructure, cloud, or technology architecture. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing scalable, secure, highly available, and resilient infrastructure solutions that support enterprise applications and platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and maintain infrastructure architecture, standards, principles, and guidelines.
• Design cloud, on-premises, and hybrid infrastructure architectures, including compute, storage, network, and connectivity.
• Develop high availability, disaster recovery, business continuity, and resilience architectures.
• Define infrastructure capacity, scalability, and performance requirements for enterprise applications and platforms.
• Specify infrastructure integration, connectivity, and communication requirements.
• Review infrastructure designs and major projects, providing architectural recommendations.
• Assess current infrastructure against target architecture, identifying gaps and modernization needs.
• Identify infrastructure risks, dependencies, constraints, and potential impacts.
• Ensure infrastructure architecture aligns with business, application, security, and technology requirements, as well as Enterprise Architecture, technology standards, and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate closely with Cybersecurity, Network, Cloud, DevOps, Application, and Technology teams.
• Support infrastructure modernization, transformation, cloud adoption, and optimization initiatives.
• Maintain comprehensive infrastructure architecture documentation, diagrams, standards, and decision records.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• A minimum of 8 years of overall experience in Infrastructure, Cloud, Technology Architecture, or similar technical roles.
• Significant experience in infrastructure architecture within large and complex enterprise environments.
• Strong experience in cloud, on-premises, and hybrid infrastructure architecture.

Technical Expertise

• Strong knowledge of compute, storage, networking, virtualization, and enterprise infrastructure technologies.
• Proven experience designing high availability, disaster recovery, resilience, and scalable infrastructure solutions.
• Experience with leading cloud platforms such as Azure and/or AWS.
• Strong understanding of infrastructure security, connectivity, and integration requirements.
• Knowledge of infrastructure standards, architecture governance, and technology lifecycle management.

Essential Skills and Preferred Background

• Experience working effectively with DevOps, Cybersecurity, Network, Cloud, and Application teams.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience in banking or financial services is highly preferred.
• Experience working in a SAMA-regulated environment is an advantage.
• Relevant certifications such as TOGAF, AWS/Azure Architecture, or other recognized infrastructure/cloud certifications are preferred.
