About the Opportunity

Aspec for Contracting and Environmental Consultancy is actively seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join its dedicated project team. Based in Jeddah, Western Province, this full-time position offers an opportunity to contribute to significant projects within a dynamic environment.

Role Overview

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supervising mechanical works, ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of site equipment, and overseeing specialized installations. This position requires a professional with 2-5 years of experience, committed to maintaining high standards of quality and safety across all project phases.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor the operational status and condition of site equipment and machinery.
• Supervise all maintenance and repair activities, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
• Develop and implement comprehensive preventive and corrective maintenance plans.
• Oversee the performance and associated mechanical systems of diesel generators.
• Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly technical reports detailing project progress and equipment status.
• Prepare, review, and approve mechanical, shop, and as-built drawings.
• Supervise the installation, testing, and commissioning of HDPE piping systems.
• Monitor HDPE butt fusion and electrofusion welding activities to ensure quality and compliance.

Stakeholder Coordination and Compliance

A key aspect of this role involves effective coordination with various project stakeholders, including project managers, subcontractors, consultants, and suppliers. The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for ensuring all mechanical works strictly adhere to project specifications, quality standards, and Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) requirements.

Required Experience

• A minimum of 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in mechanical engineering, preferably within a contracting or environmental consultancy context.
